A steering control for a fork lift truck in which the driving posn. rises with the forks for accurate control of high loading places. A chain pays out from the driving platform and links to the steering box in the chassis. The chain is strong enough to resist twisting action and serves to transmit the steering torque. The heavy duty chain provides a simple torque link without complex hydraulic hoses and cylinders or complex electric servo controls. It is easily replaced when worn.
