The door stop has a chassis (1) fixed to the door and a cylindrical vertical shaft (2) slides in the groove (3) of the chassis. The shaft has a rubber stop (4) which presses on the ground when the door is open or half open. The recall spring (5) bears on a partition (6) of the chassis and on a stop pin (3). A stop plate (8) holds the shaft (2) by being pressure inclined by spring (9) and the shaft can be pressed down by foot pressure. Alternatively the plate (8) is released by becoming horizontal when the stop (13) melts at a predetermined temperature between 50 and 90 degrees C.
