Mixer for constituents of transfusion - has supply of compressed nitrogen forcing liquid components through mixing chamber into distribution line

The nutrient mixer is used to prepare liquids for perfusion and transfusion. It includes a pressurised inlet line which forces the fluid constituents to a mixing chamber. The inlet and distribution lines have coupled taps which provide for the simultaneous flow of the nitrogen flushing gas and the constituents. The reservoirs containing the required liquids are suspended from hooks on brackets in a line above the unit. The unit provides a high speed, thorough mixing of the liquids under sterile conditions and supplies it directly to e.g. an intravenous drip.
