Auditorium acoustic testing system - uses loudspeakers and microphone with signals at lower level for selected regions of acoustic range

The method of testing the acoustics of a hall etc. uses a microphone on, .g. the stage, and loudspeakers positioned at different positions between the stage and a listener further back. The received sounds are monitored for discrepancies between the visual and audible effects. The level of the acoustic signals are lowered for selected parts of the acoustic range. These parts are in the regions between 450 and 550 Hz and between 6.5 and 9.5 KHz. These ranges allow for variables such as the size of the hall, the angle of the loudspeakers, the level of sound etc.
