The heart consists of a single biventricular block implantable in the pericardium. The block contains a motor comprising two membranes (4, 10), one of which is elongating and the other deforming. The membranes form the right (17) and the left (18) ventricule with the corresp. internal faces of the block. The motor is activated in such a way that it generates pressure equivalent to physiological ventricular pressures. The heart also has a system controlling cardiac rate, comprising a first device for the aortic pressure, a second device for the refilling pressure of the left ventricle, and a third device for controlling the change in aortic pressure.
|
