Transverse sloping bridge roadway drainage - involves outside screen and gutter with outflow ducts carried to supports

Collected water is carried away via outflow ducts, in the system for water removal from bridge structures, with transversely inclined roadway slab. The surface of the roadway, is flat over its entire width, up to the outside edge. A gutter (11) runs along the edge of the lower side, with each of its outflow ducts (20) led to the support. There is also an outside screen (15) along the edge, pref. aligned along the gutter, with constant width and with a head edge. The gutter may have a sheet metal edge piece (12) engaging below the road surfacing (14). Water can flow evenly to one side, and does not collect even after heavy downpours or thawing.
