The glass container, bottle etc. can be destroyed easily to facilitate disposal. The surface hardness of the glass is such that when the bottle suffers mechanical damage to its outer surface, e.g. caused by impact from a pointed object, it breaks into very small pieces. The wall and bottom thicknesses are >=2.5 mm and the mouth has an internal diameter of around 30 mm.
