The base comprises an insulation moulding which has a series of cylindrical recesses arranged in line along the longitudinal axis of the strip. Each recess is intersected at right angles to the strip length by a slot. The slot is in line with the dia. of the recess, and is less in depth than the recess. The terminal is in the form of a metal pressing (32). The lower part (31) of the pressing is inserted into the recess with an interference fit. The connection ends (35, 36) locate in the slot thus ensuring that all the terminals are correctly lined up. The terminal comprises a pin (35) for wrapped connections and an eyelet (33, 34) for soldered joints. The insulated strip has moulded in fixing holes.
