PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption at the stand-by time by providing the stand-by control circuit which controls the timing generation circuit and then fixing the timing signal to be applied to the dynamic action circuit to the specific level via the stand-by control circuit. CONSTITUTION:Clock generation circuit 2 generates the clock featuring the frequency which is decided by crystal oscillator 3 and then applies the clock to timing generation circuit 4. And circuit 4 generates timing signals phi1-phi4 synchronized with the clock to supply them to register 6. When signal HLT' turns to O by the stop order or the like, stand-by control circuit 5 applies the control signal to circuit 4 and then fixes timing signals phi1 and phi2 to ''1''. As a result, dynamic action register 6 features the static action structure to secure the memorizing and holding of the information, at the same time realizing the reduction of power consumption. |
