PURPOSE:To facilitate production of a road sign by pouring a viscous solution of transparent curable plastic into a tray-shaped disc having a reflective surface on the inner side of its base until the solution swells out into a convex lens-like shape owing to the surface tension of the solution, and then curing the plastic solution. CONSTITUTION:A tray-shaped disc provided with a reflective surface on the inner side of its base is maintained horizontally and a viscous solution of transparent curable plastic is poured thereinto until the surface of the solution swells out to assume a convex lens-like shape owing to the surface tension of the solution, and then the solution is cured so that the tray-shaped disc and cured plastic are bonded integrally with each other. For instance, a reflective surface 15 is formed on the inner bottom of a tray-shaped disc 14 (made of a metal, plastic, etc.) having a peripheral wall 13. This disc 14 is positioned horizontally and a transparent mixed viscous solution of an epoxy resin with a curing agent is poured thereinto until the solution swells out from the top edge of the peripheral wall 13 to assume a convex lens-like shape owing to the surface tension of the solution, and then the solution is hardened to form a road sign. |
