<p>The invention is a pressure cooker silencer which reduces the amount of noise generated by the pressurized steam escaping from the steam valve atop the pressure cooker. The invention includes a first chamber member which encloses the steam valve opening in the steam valve. An opening is provided in the first chamber member to allow the steam to escape from the chamber defined by the first chamber member. By controlling the size and location of the opening the sound generated by the escaping steam can be reduced.</p> |
