PURPOSE:To agitate waste sludge efficently by means of an underwater pump with small capacity by a mechanism wherein a draft tube, whose drum portion is provided with agitating fluid passing holes, is disposed around the underwater pump arranged into a waste sludge storage tank. CONSTITUTION:The circumference of an underwater pump 5 disposed into a waste sludge storage tank 1 is surrounded by means of a draft tube 4, and agitating fluid passing holes 9 are provided to a drum protion of the draft tube 4. Thus, the agitating efficenency of a fluid by means of the underwater pump 5 is extremely bettered. Flows discharged from the agitating fluid passing holes 9 particularly display nozzle action, and the agitating efficiency is improved. Even when a fluid level housed in the waste sludge storage tank 1 is located at portions lower than an opening portion of an upper end of the draft tube 4, an agitating function is not damaged because the fluid flows into an upper portion of the underwater pump 5 from the agitating fluid passing holes 9 of the draft tube 4. |
