PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and reduce the number of components and at the same time improve the precision of the ignition time by the method wherein one ignition coil and one distribution are used, and two ignition plugs are sparked simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Both ends 3, 4 of the secondary winding of ignition coil b are insulated from primary windings 1, 2. One end 4 of the secondary winding is connected to two spark plugs 7, 8 connected in series through the engine body at the upper part of each cylinder. The other end 3 supplies power to ignition plug 5 of each cylinder through distributor e. The electric energy of battery a appears as high voltage energy on secondary sides 3, 4 of ignition coil b by the intermittent interruption of breaker-point d . The high voltage energy discharges the inside of distributor e and sparks two spark plugs 7, 8 connected in series simultaneously. |
