<p>PURPOSE:To collect mist effectively by a simplified mist collecting mechanism in which fine mists are coagulated and coarsened at a coagulating zone. CONSTITUTION:The mist collector 1 consists of the charging zone A to give charges to mist, the coagulating zone B to coarsen mists, the collecting zone C to collect coarsened mists, and the suction fan 7. Fine mist is applied DC high-voltage at the charging zone A, and then directed to the coagulating zone B, where when passing through the fibers 5 provided densely in parallel in gas pathway, mists collide against the surfaces of the filament 8 distributed on the fiber surface and arrested there by electrostatic attraction in addition to diffusion. The mists thus arrested intrude into the fibers 5 by capillary action, go out of the downstream of the fiber in the form of coarsened mists 10, and then collected easily by the colliding plate 6 in the following stage.</p> |
