PURPOSE:To make it possible to inspect the high-voltage circuit section without removing spark plugs by providing detachable detecting means to spark plugs, switching means for cylinders under measurement connected to each detecting means, driving means for these switching means and a measuring circuit. CONSTITUTION:In the case of application to a four-cylinder engine, detecting means 1a is provided between plug cords PC1-PC4 and spark plugs PL1-PL4 of each cylinder. This detecting means 1a is conneced to switching means for cylinders under measurement 3 having high voltage resistance relay contacts 31-34, such as lead relays, via high tension cables 21-24. This switching means 3 is driven by switch driving means 4. Measuring circuit 5 detects the presence or absence of an abnormal condition in the spark plug selected by the above. The result of measurement by measuring circuit 5 is displayed by display means 6. |
