PURPOSE:To evade radiation due to the shuttle transmission when a piston is operating by a method wherein the head of the piston is located within the hollow hole of the cylinder head when the piston is at the bottom dead point and also the surface opposed to the other material of the cylinder head is fitted with adiabatic materials. CONSTITUTION:When applied to the Stirling engine, the measurement of each part is so fixed that the head 5a of the piston 5 in the position of the bottom dead point is located at the upper position by l in length than the base 41 of the cylinder head 41. Also the face of the cylinder head 41 opposed to the cylinder block 42, i.e. between both of them adiabatic material 11 such as a gasket and the like is inserted. In this way it can be avoided that during the reciprocating operation of the piston 5 the high temperature gas G directly contacts with the cylinder block 42. Also the heat loss of gas is reduced because the heat of the cylinder head 41 is prevented from contacted with the cylinder block 42 by adiabatic material 11. |
