If as a result of accident events, such as collisions, storage containers of road or rail tank trucks are damaged, extremely rapid intervention is necessary in order to prevent damage to the environment depending on the contents transported. The collection container consists of a film tube (9) whose closure part (10) has inflatable beads (11a, 11b) so that the film tube can be placed as a collection basin below the leaking contents. If the closure part is to be attached to the damaged container, a ring (31) is fitted over a partially pumped-up closure bead (11a) and attached to the container (3) over the damage point by means of eyes (19) and fastening cords (21). The bead (11a) placed between the container and the ring is pumped up so that it rests firmly against the container wall and forms a seal around its damage point (5). The use of a film tube allows a large collection volume to be provided with only the least possible storage volume for the collection container. The film tube, which is preferably rolled up in the empty state, can also readily be carried to inaccessible accident locations. <IMAGE> |
