摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To control an engine with accuracy by a method wherein the amount of flowing air is detected by a detector as a periodic signal, and a period computed by a clock pulse is provided in response to the signal. CONSTITUTION:A periodic signal P is input to the first counter 204 via an AND circuit 202, and a clock pulse is inputted to the counter 204 from a clock pulse generator 206. In addition, the output of the counter 204 is inputted to a latch circuit 206A, and the output accompanying bits 8, 9, 10 with specified bit numbers is input to an OR circuit 208, then the output of the OR circuit 208 is input to the AND circuit 202, thus constituting an AND condition with the periodic signal P. As the first counter 204 makes 8 or 9 bit calculation, while the second counter 210 calculates the periodicity of the signal P, and as each of the counters processes the calculated value, it becomes possible to measure the amount of flowing air with extreme accuracy.</p>
