An appts. for folding & pressing shirts comprises a support plate(1) mounted in a stationary frame, a pivotable plate(3) adjacent to the collar end to hold a shirt on the support plate & a movable plate (4) to support the shirt tail end. The movable plate(4) can he superposed on the pivotable plates(3) to fold the tail to the coller & then returned into alignment with the support plate(1), & two further pivotable plates (5,6) are located along the sides to fold the shirt sides towards its center. The movable plate has a retainer for holding the shirt tail.
