<p>The handle has coaxial inlet and outlet pipes for burner gas; and the inlet pipe is connected to a valve seat which can slide in the handle but cannot rotate. At the outlet end of the handle is a pipe connector; and the conical end of the connector inside the handle forms a needle valve. The handle has a window contg. a control knob. In one of several pref. designs, the knurled control knob has a hexagonal bore contg. a hexagonal nut which rotates together with the knob and moves the valve seat towards or away from the needle valve against the pressure of a coil spring.</p> |
