The thrust protection is for the union between a muff and an inserted end of a cast iron or ductile pipe. Around the pipe end is a clamp ring divided into a least two segments (1). At the segment ends are fixture tongues (3), and the ring inner surface is composed of several toothed pressure surfaces in a circumferential direction working in conjunction with the pipe end. The pressure surfaces have a number of toothed ribs (4), the tooth profile being inclined against the tractive direction in the pipe union. The ends of the toothed ribs of adjoining pressure surfaces are displaced axially, preferably by half a tooth division.
|
