<PICT:1094716/C6-C7/1> A method of internally lining receptacles comprises securing to the walls to be lined a rigid supporting grid encased in weldable synthetic plastics material 2 and then securing to the casing by welding lining plates 6 of synthetic plastics material. Iron may form the elements 1 of the grid and on to them tubes of the material 2 may be threaded. They may be bared at the ends for welding and recoated with the material. The elements 1 may be encased by a strip of channel form and an opposing flat strip which are joined together. The elements 1 are secured to fixing plates, which are then fixed by screws 5 to the receptacle wall. Alternatively, screws or rivets may be made to extend through the grid and the part of the casing between it and the wall. The plates 6 may have concentric corrugations. Packing 8 may be in the space between the wall and lining and may be wood, cork or sand.
