<p>The manual labelling unit is intended for printing and dispensing self-adhesive labels (57) releasably held on a carrier tape (27). The tape is pulled off a roll (18) and around an edge (31) where a label partly detaches from the tape and is then applied by a pressure roller (43). The tape is moved in steps by a tape transporter (25, 28) and each label is printed by a printer (13) when supported on a pressure plate (24) before it detaches. The step-wise tape and printer movement is provided by a spring-loaded (12) hand lever (8, 9) and a sring-loaded brake lever (32). In the rest position, the lever (8, 9) acts on the lever (32) so as to provide additional braking pressure on the tape.</p> |
