All the rails are open-ended at a braching or dividing point, where swivelling and non-swivelling rails ends face each other, in the junction points without tongues, esp. with wide curvature radius in high-speed sector branching track. One set of ends run out at an acute angle, forming an inclined face on the outside, in a correspondingly long overlap area for the swivelling and non-swivelling rail ends. This face is brought to bear against a congruent inclined face on the inside of the other ends, forming a flat inclined joint. One set or the other are vertically adjustable in swivelling, for lateral change. There are no joint gaps in crossover areas, and comfortable travel is ensured.
|
