Densimeter for measuring fluid densities - has disc or spoke which rotates in fluid to equilibrium position

Densimeter comprises a disc or spoke which rotates on a shaft. When the densimeter is placed in a fluid the disc or spoke rotates to ane quilibirum position on the shaft. The specific gravity of the fluid is determined from the angular position of the disc on spole or the shaft when it reaches the quilibirum position. Used for measuring the specific gravity of liqs., e.g. petroleum and milk, and gases. For liqs. a rotating disc is used. For gases a rotating spoke, which is more sensitive to gas denisties, is used.
