The air intake (1) of an internal combustion engine (8) is taken, before it passes through a filter (3) into a carburetter (4), through a high-tension spark zone (2) where electrodes, fed by high-tension coils (5), produce spark discharges. These convert some of the oxygen in the air to ozone. The spark discharges are initiated by a revolving distributor (6) which is driven by V-belt from the engine. The current can be supplied by the car battery or by a separate dynamo (7). The result is a better combustion in the engine cylinders, a higher engine output, less toxic constituents in the exhaust gases and a saving in fuel consumption.
|
