The plug housing has a through aperture for a contact and a tension relief facility, consisting of a clamping part retaining the cable to be coupled to the contact and a latching part for the clamp (20). The latter has shanks (22) forming a slot and bendable flexibly against each other. It is mounted on the rear end of the plug connector housing (10), swivelling between two end positions. In one end position, the clamping part exposes the retaining aperture (12), while in the second one, the slot reaches over this aperture. The latching part consists of two lugs (30) formed on the rear end of the housing opposite the clamp. The lugs face each other and have a locking tooth (32), which is engaged by the clamp in its second end position. Pref. the shanks of the clamp enclose a V-shaped slot, and they have on their inside a clamping strip (24). On the outside, they have a latching finger (28). The latching lugs (30) have a toothed segment with a mutual tooth spacing decreasing in the direction of the housing.
