The decoder has the same number of current input circuits e.g. address amplifiers, as the number of supplied input variables, each with two emitter-coupled transistors, the respective address bit coupled to the base of the first transistor. The base of the other transistor is coupled to a fixed ref. potential. The outputs of the input circuits are connected in AND configuration via diode networks, with emitter followers. The input circuits and initial diode networks to which they are directly coupled are divided into two or more gps. each of these diode networks having the same number of inputs as the number of input circuits in each gp. Further diode networks each have the same number of inputs as the number of gps. and are coupled to a corresp. diode network in each of these gps.
