The chimney is for use with a central-heating boiler or other firing system, and has a heat exchanger (14) on its inside wall, typically formed by a pipe coil. Where the central heating system incorporates a number of radiators (4-9), the return flow from them to the boiler can be via the heat exchanger, passing via the floors on the way to the heat exchanger.
