<p>The mounting is for precious stones during facet grinding and polishing, having a holder bar to whose end the stone is fixed, and which tilts on a vertical column to the side of a driven grinding and polishing disc. It has top and bottom supporting arms (26, 30) extending above the disc (4), each with a holder head at the end (28, 32). The heads have supporting faces for top and bottom portions of the bar (34) so as to hold the latter exactly at right angles to the disc while swinging over the latter. One at least of the heads has an adjusting mechanism (44) to set the bar exactly in this position.</p> |
