PURPOSE:To provide a safe combustion by a method wherein abnormal conditions such as incomplete combustion or interruption of combustion are sensed by a combustion sensor and a solenoid safety valve is closed to stop a fuel supply. CONSTITUTION:Cooperative change-over switch 34 is changed over to a contact point A at the same time as an opening of an implement plug 24, a solenoid safety valve 26 is energized to keep an opening of the solenoid safety valve 26. Thus, after a knob 25 of the implement plug 24 is pushed to turn, the solenoid safety valve 26 is kept open even if the knob 25 is returned back to its original position, and the safety valve is kept energized by an electromotive force of the combustion sensor 11 and kept open. When an incomplete combustion is performed due to a decreased concentration of O2 in the room, the exhaust or discharged gas shows a less volume of oxygen, a difference in concentration of oxygen at both electrodes is decreased, the electromotive force of the sensor 11 is decreased, an opening of the solenoid safety valve 26 may not be maintained, the safety valve 26 is closed, and a gas supply for a main burner 19 and a pilot burner 23 is terminated. |
