PURPOSE:To protect an amplifier from an overload or at the time of the occurrence of a short circuit by outputting a high-temperature detector output signal when limiting limiter output is OFF or low-temperature detector output signal when ON to a protection circuit. CONSTITUTION:Temperature detector 1 outputs a detection signal on detecting a high temperature, and temperature detector 2 outputs it on detecting a low temperature. Those signals are sent to detector output selector circuit 3 and when the output of ASO-limiter 4 is OFF due to an overload on an amplifier, the signal of detector 1 is outputted to protection circuit 5. When the output of limiter 4 is ON due to a load short circuit, the signal of detector 2 is outputted to circuit 5. In either case, a semiconductor connection-part temperature is limited to 150 deg.C and below and the amplifier is protected from the overload or at the time of it, so that proper operation can be obtained. |
