PURPOSE:To prevent the sharp drop in the amount of fuel ejection in the low speed and low load region by providing two sets of oil supply and discharge holes of different sizes, providing two leads for the plunger, and using the large or small oil supply and discharge holes corresponding to the low or high load region. CONSTITUTION:Oil supply hole 5 to be provided for plunger barrel 7 consists of small-diameter and large-diameter oil supply holes 5a and 5b. The upper edges of 5a and 5b are placed at the same height. In a similar manner, plunger barrel 7 is provided with oil discharge hole 8, consisting of small-diameter and large-diameter oil discharge holes 8a and 8b. Plunger 6, which is caused to make reciprocating motion by fuel cam 1 inside barrel 7 and at the same time, which is caused to rotate by fuel ejection control rack 4 is provided with plunger leads 14a and 14b having a large and a small inclination corresponding to oil discharge holes 8a and 8b. Further, oil supply and discharge hole control lands 15 projects at the upper part of plunger 6. By this, the desired purposes are accomplished effectively. |
