1512183 Paper containing laminates TH GOLDSCHMIDT AG 18 March 1976 [19 March 1975] 10989/76 Heading B5N A paper carrier web impregnated with a curable synthetic resin and suitable for use as a decorative web, carrier web, barrier web or backing web in the manufacture of faced chipboard is characterized by having a porosity, before pressing, such that its numerical value is at least 10 times the numerical value of the weight of the web before resin treatment. The numerical value of the porosity is defined as being the amount of air in ml./min. passing through a test surface of 10 cm.<SP>2</SP> when using a suction of 100 mm. water column, the numerical value of the weight of the web being determined in g./m.<SP>2</SP> determined according to DIN 53, 111. The resin may be a melamine- or phenolformaldehyde condensate. |
