A pickup cartridge for converting from mechanical oscil-lating signal to electrical signal without using certain intermedium and for obtaining the high output volt. without using booster transformer comrises separated coils (3) (4) for left and right channels, magnet(9) installed on the boundary line of coils (3) (4) and a needle holder(7). As the magnetic flux from the magnet(9) cuts the coils directly at right angles, the high conversion efficiency is obtained.
