The craft is fitted with a channel on either side of the hull. Each takes a lee board (200). Each board is hinged about the horizontal axis (166) so that the board can swing outwards from the hull. The boards are joined by the mechanical link (403) so that the weather side board can be lifted out of the water as the lee board is lowered.
