PURPOSE:To simplify correction operation by reducing switches in number by electronically detecting a time indicated by a mechanism indicating a time at the sliding position of a single slider, and then by making time correction by this detected time information. CONSTITUTION:Time information clocked by timer circuit 11 is digitally displayed by display unit 2. To make time corrections, the knob of set time indication mechanism 4 is operated to turn hand 3 to a position equivalent to the correction time, and time set switch 6 is closed. At this time, the indicated position of hand 3 is detected by fixed electrodes A1-A24 and B1-B24, and reference electrode C, and up/down counter 43 counts up until a value corresponding to the position of hand 3. The value of up/down counter 43 is sent to timer circuit 11 by way of decoder 58 and AND circuit 23 and is set to hour/minute counter 15. |
