The optical demultiplexer includes a single base cell carrying integrated circuit components on a single plate. A controlled directional coupler divides the incident energy into two paths (2, 3) each of which includes dephaser, a cut reflector (10, 11) for signals of given wavelength and a second dephaser. The two paths then rejoin to form a single optical guide. The dephasers are controlled by reflected waves which are in opposition to the input phase of the coupler, and which recombine in the fourth (4) of the coupler. The optical coupler is used for demultiplexing optical telecommunication signals received on a single optical waveguide. Its separates optical signals having different wavelengths for treatment by receiving circuitry.
|
