<p>The moulded fitting does a split ball seat which is secured by displacement into the joint body (2). A split (9) round section block (3) with spherical cavity (12) forms the ball seat, being initially attached by its rear edges only. The body has a circular head bore (6) and a blind tail bore (4) for the block and the strut (5) end respectively. Block (3) detachment is avoided by pushing it in until a rib (20) engages a groove (22). Diametrically opposed lugs (8) engage grooves (7), a so engaging ramped (17) rebates (16) as the block is rotated a quarter turn to obtain axial interlock.</p> |
