<p>The windscreen (1) is mounted in a sheet metal housing. The housing n3) is joined to the body proper by an elastically deformable joint (7). This joint is made of sheet steel and is the only connection between the frame and body. The joint is covered by a protector (9) around the screen. This proector has shock absorbing or energy absorbing filling (12), which can be retained by a plastics covering. There can be also be sheet metal supporting ribs in the protector, joined to the car body.</p> |
