PURPOSE:To use commonly a substrate as a slider to omit the adhesion work of the slider and increase the number of degrees of freedom for lead taking-out by constituting the substrate by laminating metals and insulators and by connecting the terminal of a magnetic head coil to the metallic part of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:Insulators 10, 10' and 10'' and metallic parts 11 and 11' are laminated to constitute substrate 3. Insulating film 15 such as SiO2 is formed on all the surface of substrate 3. Next, lower magnetic layer 12 is formed on film 15, and insulating film 15' is formed on layer 12. Next, SiO2 layers 15 and 15' in parts, where coil terminal parts 7 and 7' of the magnetic head are formed, on metallic parts 11 and 11' of substrate 1 are eliminated, and through holes for terminal connection are formed. Next, conductor coils 14 and 14' are formed, and coil terminal parts 7 and 7' are connected to metallic parts 11 and 11'. Finally, upper magnetic layer 12' is formed. Thus, a lead may be connected to an arbitrary position of metallic parts 11 and 11'. The material obtained in this manner is cut off along line 16 and is polished to make a slide face. |
