<p>The fixed cylindrical door knob includes a push-button (22) which operates the bolt of a latch or lock. The knob houses a mounting block (9) which both locates the bolt-spindle (13) and constitutes a guide for a sprung slider (23). The spindle is of polygonal, cross-section and passes through an opening in the mounting block. Displacement of the push-button moves the slider which engages a radial spindle-lug (28). The lug projects from a wheel which is keyed to spindle and is, thus, displaced to effect rotation of the spindle.</p> |
