PURPOSE:A preventive and remedy for photohypersensitivity caused by pheophorbid that contains pantethine to prevent hemolysis at a high rate. CONSTITUTION:Said preventive and remedy contains pantethine that is widely used as a medicine, especially lipid metabolism improver. Chlorella disease that has occurred in Tokyo recently is one of photohypersensitivity, which is caused by pheophorbid (the substance is formed by removing magnesium atom from chlorophyll) remaining in body when a large amount of chlorella is taken, which forms free radicals when light is irradiated to cause inflammation and necrosis. Pantethine prevents necrosis at a high rate in spite of existence of pheophorbid, thus functioning as a preventive and remedy for photohypersensitivity. |
