Protection for the area around a surgical wound is provided by creating an inert or sterile atmosphere over it. This is achieved by a distribution tube which diverges into a pear shaped loop. The inert gas or sterile air is blown out of a series of holes around the inner edge of the tube which is made of a flexible material. It has an outer rim which can be used to clip it into position and if necessary elongate it if a long wound is needed. Used to provide a protective gs shield over the area around a surgical wound to prevent infection. Does not hamper the actions of the surgeon giving max. possible freedom, can be adjusted to wound length, is virtually silent, has low pressure drop and is easily handled. |
