Capacitor foil edge trimmer - with profiled slot for annular lower blade in revolving mount

A cutting device for the continuous edge trimming of a plastic foil, for example of foils needed for the mfr. of capacitors, consists of a rotating upper (circular) cutter blade which slightly overlaps the cutting edge of a rotating lower (ring-shaped) cutter blade. The latter is fastened to the side of an annular slot in a two-part cutter ring boss. The slot is just wide enough to allow the upper blade to be swung out of it wideways. It then becomes narrower within the tolerance limits of the lower blade and is finally enlarged enough to accept the clamp ring for the lower blade. This allows the trimmed edges to be reduced to a min. so that the wastage of foil material is reduced.
