The container is stackable both when erected and folded, the walls being laid one on top of the other in the latter state. Four short legs below have plate-type feet of cone section fitting over the tops of vertical angle sections at the corners of the container below when stacked folded. Corner posts secured to the walls hinge in the angle sections and lock in place when dropped into the vertical position, the hinge being formed by an elongated hole in an angle-section flange accommodating a pin on the outside of the post. The upper end of each elongated hole (18) in the angle-section flange (14) is offset at right angles to the sidewall (9) towards the centre of the container in relation to the lower end.
