Sealing and bearing ring production process - has metal fibres and bearing material in sleeve wound onto mandrel

The process produces a sealing and bearing ring of heat-and corrosion- resistant metal fibres, partic. of high-grade steel. Lengths of the metal fibres are simultaneously wound with sheets or skeins of bearing material onto a mandrel so as to form a cylindrical sleeve. The sleeve is then shaped into a ring press. The sheets of skeins (2, 3) of bearing material can be situated on the inside and outside of the sleeve, or wound in with the metal fibres in any desired position.
