Pressure detector valve for water pipe - has diaphragm with pilot opening and bore shut by spring-loaded component

The pressure detector valve has inlet and discharge passages in a housing and an actuating spindle slid axially between two locked positions so as to open or shut it. A diaphragm (13) is secured by its periphery in a bore (5) in the housing (1) and bears at the centre against a seat (8) to interrupt the direct connection between the passages (4, 7). A smaller pilot opening in the diaphragm (18) connects the inlet passage to the chamber enclosed by the diaphragm, while a larger bore (12) in it connects this chamber to the outlet passage. The bore is shut by a component (19) spring-loaded against a seat (21) round it and the spindle (32) lifts this component off its seat in the open position.
