Unlike the parent patents the 'weak gas' is now formed by mixing the 'strong gas' used for the heating of coke ovens with a part of combustion gases. Thus, the method, which according to the parent patent was applicable only to coking plants using a 'weak gas' for heating, can now be applied to coking plants where a 'strong gas' is used.
