Synergistic herbicidal activity compositions comprise the following two components:… (a) an anilide of the formula …… …in which R is a C1-C10 alkyl, C2-C4 alkenyl or C3-C5 cycloalkyl; and… (b) a thiocarbamate of the formula …… in which R<1> and R<2> are independently C1-C4 alkyl, or R<1> and R<2> conjointly form C2-C7 alkylene; and R<3> is C1-C4 alkyl, in a weight ratio of anilide to thiocarbamate of 0.001-50:1.
